Do you wanna get rocked?…..

Well…..it turns out that giving up work hasn’t made me any less busy *shrugs* whereas I would normally complain about this (as trust me I can be pretty lazy when I want) it’s actually been a HUGE amount of fun….so what’s happened since my last blog?!… Well, firstly I was productive in the IVF, I went to the doctors and I’m now officially referred and I’m just waiting for the letter for my start date,  they have said 6 weeks (not including Christmas) so all being well I hope to get a date to start the end of January…this seems to have kick-started a change in my mood, the depression has lead to some hope and whereas I’m not ready to wish on stars yet, I am more hopeful than I have been in months.

The lead up to Christmas is always fun, I am a HUGE Christmas fan..starting as early as October sometimes, and sit here now completely ready for the event, Hubby got our Christmas tree whilst I have been away seeing family (here we go to the forest and pick our own…but don’t tell anyone 😉 ) and now is all decorated and evenings are spent in the glow of the lights starting on the ever-growing classic Christmas movie list – starting, of course, with Home Alone. (Yes, b, In my HO Die Hard is more of a Christmas movie than Gremlins 😉 )

My week away visiting family started with my birthday present, which was Cinderella by the Scottish Ballet, I have always wanted to go to the ballet and actually wanted to see the Nutcracker, however, this wasn’t on in Scotland till the new year and so I will get that next year…..I have to say I was blown away!! I can’t tell you how amazing it was, I was sat forward, mesmerised the whole time!! Incredible!!!! and I can’t wait to see the next. This was followed by a 5-hour car journey down to my parents and then 5 days of trying to fit everyone in, finally ending on Def Leppard, live in concert! I have seen these guys 9 times now and being from the area as well saw it only right to see them in their hometown of Sheffield, again, never disappointing!!! and was a cracking end to my week away, from ballerina to rock chick in the space of 6 days, Ha!……what I didn’t like was the 5am start the next morning, 7 hours of driving (the M74 is sooooo boring) to get all the way back for the ferry company to call and inform me all ferries for the rest of the day had been cancelled due to yet another storm! so I had to stay the night in a hotel and thankfully the wind had dropped enough in the morning for me to finally get home \o/ and back in wellies, yes!! so now I am just happily relaxing, waiting for the red letter day and some good times with friends over the festive period.

So, for now, I will sign off Merry Christmas and would like to thank you all for your support so far and hope in the new year you will still be here to hopefully hear some good news as we start our big journey down the IVF road, and Santa if you’re reading this then please please please can I have a puppy for Christmas…Thanks
